RESERVATION INFORMATION: Monthly rates are based on stays of 28 nights or more. Additional nights are prorated at the monthly rate.
All reservations require payment in full 28 days prior to arrival. Reservations made within 28 days of arrival must be paid in full at the time of reservation. All rates are based on four (4) persons per unit. Additional persons may be added to units that allow five (5) or six (6) people. A fee of $10 per person per night will be added to your rental charges. All reservations are subject to a 4% processing fee.
Initial Payment: An initial payment of $300 is required when we accept your reservation that is greater than 28 days from the date of your reservation. This is applied toward your total reservation charges. A valid credit card is required for all reservations.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be made in writing (either by e-mail or fax) a minimum of 30 days prior to the date of arrival. For cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the date of arrival, a refund of $200 of the initial payment will be refunded, ($300 initial payment, less a $100 cancellation penalty). For cancellations which cannot be refunded directly to a credit card having already been processed for payment on a guest's current reservation, a check will be issued. The check will be sent via US mail. Refunds via checks are issued at the beginning of each month after receiving a written cancellation notice. Please allow up to 60 days from the time of cancellation to receive your refund via check by US mail. For cancellations made 30 days or less prior to the date of arrival, the reservation will be charged in full for the entire stay, equal to 100% of the total rental fees plus taxes.
ADJUSTING AN EXISTING RESERVATION: Adjusting the arrival and/or departure dates is allowed if done more than 30 days in advance of your arrival and length of stay satisfies nightly minimum requirements and dates of arrival and departure if applicable. If you are switching units, this will be treated as a cancellation and new reservation and you will be charged a $100 cancellation penalty. Minimum-night stay requirements, arrival and departure days, and rates are subject to change.
PET POLICY: Sorry, no pets of any kind are allowed on the Sand Cay Beach Resort property.
SMOKING POLICY: There is NO SMOKING in ANY unit at Sand Cay Beach Resort. Smoking IS allowed on outside patios, balconies, and in outside areas that have no posted restrictions.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: We do not require a security deposit. However, we will charge your credit or debit card for damages done to the unit or its contents, or if the condition of the unit warrants excessive cleaning due to smoking, etc.
OFFICE HOURS: The Office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise posted at the Office entrance. For after-hours check-ins, we have a late-arrival bin just outside the Office's front door, to the left. We are closed on some Holidays.
CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT: Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 10:00 a.m. We do our best to accommodate requests for early check-ins and late check-outs, but cannot guarantee them in advance. For late check-outs, there is a $50 per half-hour late fee charged for every half hour after 10:00 a.m. turning your keys into the Office and returning to the unit is not allowed and does not constitute a valid check-out, nor is leaving a key inside the unit a valid check-out.
PARKING: There is ONE assigned parking space for each unit. Your parking space number is the same as your unit number. You will be issued a parking permit for your unit's assigned space at check-in. We have a LIMITED amount of UNNUMBERED GUEST and GUEST-COMPACT parking spaces. We cannot guarantee that a GUEST/GUEST-COMPACT parking space will be available during your stay. A guest must register at the office before a pass can be issued. There is NO parking available for boats, trailers, RV's, campers or jet skis.
PAYING YOUR BALANCE: Payment is due in full 28 days prior to the beginning of the rental period. Your credit card will be automatically charged at 28 days prior to the start of a reservation. There is a departure cleaning fee of $100 plus applicable taxes added to each reservation. We reserve the right to charge any unpaid fees to a credit card on file. Should your card be rejected, we will contact you and allow 3 days to provide a valid credit card to complete the transaction. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation and loss of your reservation and we will return $200 of the initial deposit to you.
FORM OF PAYMENT POLICY EFFECTIVE 5-19-16: In an effort to guarantee maximum security for our guests and our staff. Sand Cay Beach Resort will only accept credit & debit card payments only, for all rental deposits, rental payments and all other services provided by the resort.
UNIT ASSIGNMENTS: In the rare event we have to relocate you to a unit other than the one you booked, it would be due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, which may include emergency repairs to the building or the unit. In this event, we reserve the right to change your accommodations to a comparable or better unit.
